About La Rue Woodworking
Located just East of the Historical District of the quaint little Hamlet of Charlton, NY, LaRue Woodworking is part of the LaRue Farms estate settled in 1774. Master Craftsman William LaRue, a 7th generation owner of the family farm, has more than 30 years of experience utilizing many of the tools and woodworking knowledge that has been passed down throughout the generations. Combining the passed down knowledge of his woodworking predecessors and today's technology, LaRue Woodworking offers time proven woodworking methods and techniques that can be accomplished with precise accuracy, in a timely manner, making today's custom wood pieces into tomorrow's family heirlooms and future antiques.
Working side by side with Albert and Linda LaRue, who own the production sawmill on location, LaRue Woodworking offers a unique process where our customers have the option to choose a wood log or even a whole tree and watch it's every step throughout the complete process from start to finish. LaRue Woodworking currently occupy approximately 7000 sq-ft of space which includes the main office, the wood shop, an assembly area, a staging area for repair/refinish/restoration projects, a custom large tree sawmill, a wood drying kiln, a wood milling/molding shop, a large indoor lumber storage area, a finishing room, and a photography studio.
