These Classic time proven cutting boards are made from locally grown and properly harvested 100% American Hardwoods. The majority of our wood is harvested, sawn, kiln dried and milled right here in Charlton, NY on our premises. Our Cutting boards are a unique, one-of-a-kind handcrafted masterpiece that has been designed from scratch and are built one at a time. These custom built boards has been made with the precision and care of a skilled craftsman with over 32 years of experience. They have been designed and made to have dual purposes, everyday use for cutting and chopping and for serving at a simple football party or for an elegant dinner party, cut on one side, serve on the other, it's like have 2 boards in 1 that look GREAT!
About the Board Finish
We use (and sell to the public) our own blend of food grade mineral oil and/or natural beeswax paste . To condition and extend the life your cutting board, work a small amount of the mineral oil, or natural beeswax paste, into your board every month with a clean cloth, allow to soak in for 10-20 minutes, and then wipe dry.
Care and Maintenance
To clean your board, hand wash with warm water and a mild detergent but DO NOT soak. Allow to air dry.

Wood has grains that will absorb stains and other finishes at different amounts, depending on orientation of the grain, types of woods used and the moisture content of the wood. As a result, variation will occur throughout the wood. LaRue Woodworking cannot be responsible for the actual degree of variation of colors and sheens that may occur in your custom project. Natural UV light and age will also affect the color and sheen of your custom piece over time.
